2023: Sentence - 10 years in prison for student bribes

The Krasnoyarsk Garrison Military Court sentenced the former teacher of the Siberian State University of Science and Technology named after Academician M.F. Reshetnev to 10 years in a general regime colony for bribes from students. The press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office announced this on May 17, 2023.

The court found that in the period from 2015 to 2019. the defendant received bribes from 19 students in the amount of 10 to 110 thousand rubles, including using electronic payment systems, for giving positive marks in academic disciplines without actual knowledge testing, and also acted as an intermediary in transferring bribes to other teachers. In total, during the specified period, the teacher illegally received funds from students in the amount of more than 800 thousand rubles, of which about 300 thousand rubles as an intermediary.

Arthur Akzigitov

A former university teacher was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code, part 2 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe by an official for illegal actions; mediation in bribery for knowingly illegal acts). He will serve his sentence in a general regime correctional colony.

In addition, funds illegally received as a bribe in the amount of 530 thousand rubles were confiscated as state revenue. In order to execute the verdict, in terms of confiscation of funds, the arrest on the property of the accused (car and land) was preserved, the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office added. The defendant's name has not been disclosed. According to the news agency "Zapad24," we are talking about Arthur Akzigitov. Earlier, a video appeared with his detention (see below).
