The IBM corporation announced on October 1, 2010 agreement signature with Singapore Airlines which is directed to increase in efficiency of business cooperation and joint work of geographically distributed personnel of airline.

After comprehensive study of a question of total cost of ownership, Singapore Airlines made the decision to save the software of IBM Lotus as the corporate messaging platform.

By the end of 2010 of Singapore Airlines will update Lotus software to the latest version of Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5 and also will in addition expand the opportunities of collective work, knowledge management and mobility of personnel using the Lotus Collaboration platform including products of IBM Lotus Quickr, Lotus Connections, Lotus Sametime, Lotus Notes Traveler and Lotus Mobile Connect.

The software for collective work of IBM Lotus Notes supports a full range of the widespread mobile devices connected to the Internet such as thin clients and notebooks which are used for access to corporate applications and business processes. Lotus Notes is offered also in the cloud-version for the environment of cloud computing and also is delivered as a part of hardware and other complete solutions according to the Lotus Foundations program for the sector of medium business.
