2023: Announcement of the device

On June 1, 2023, American startup Ezra specializing in creating solutions AI for the sphere, health care he announced the development of Ezra Flash technology for the implementation of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) the whole body in 30 minutes.

The Ezra platform uses artificial intelligence algorithms at all three stages of screening for malignancies: imaging, information analysis and obtaining results. In particular, the Ezra Flash AI module allows to improve the quality of MRI images, while Ezra Prostate AI helps radiologists in assessing the collected data on the prostate condition. The Ezra Reporter AI tool transforms radiological reports into an easily perceived form.

The company has developed a fast MRI protocol that creates noisy images. After that, the intelligent platform Ezra Flash comes into play, improving detail. The Ezra Flash AI module is trained using its own MRI dataset, which includes hundreds of thousands of images of patients with various diseases and healthy people. Ezra's AI system assesses which MRI elements are needed to create a complete and accurate image. This approach makes it possible to significantly improve the quality of data with high-speed MRI scanning, which was previously unattainable.

Ezra Flash technology is designed to detect cancer in the initial stages, which increases the chances of successful treatment of patients. If cancer is detected early, survival is 80% versus less than 20% when identified in advanced stages, according to the American Cancer Society. Previously, the whole-body MRI procedure using the Ezra platform took about an hour and cost $1950. Thanks to new achievements, the time was reduced to 30 minutes, and the cost decreased by about 30% - to $1350. The ultimate goal is to bring these values to 15 minutes and $500.[1]
