2019: Building a Solution Support System to Improve the Operational Efficiency of the Railcar Fleet

An individual solution includes consolidation information in (analytical CD for cars - types,, producer dates of warranty period and last repair, depot, accounting for mileage to the repair site, causes of breakdowns, data about repairs performed and the works forming them, normative and actual time work), cube, multidimensional data store. Algorithmic eliminating data inconsistency.

Customers receive: a tool for analyzing the causes of excessive costs for repairing rolling stock (super-cycle work, work in addition to maintenance); a tool for analyzing the factors that caused excess costs and downtime (absence of spare parts, defective batches of spare parts, malfunction, unskilled repair work, etc.); combining with data on shipments (revenues) allows you to calculate the effectiveness of business, directions, individual transportation units, cargo types.

Technologies: construction of analytical CD, multidimensional data mart; Power BI tools are widely used for visual analysis.

2018: Collection of data from human-readable documents, formation and visualization of IFRS

The task of collecting data from human-readable documents, forming visualization IFRS and required research and the proposal of non-standard solutions. Consolidation of data on repairs (works confirmed by signed acts and closed according to internal data), which occurs due to the long time lag between the actual performance of repair works and the receipt of documents on them from. RUSSIAN RAILWAY

The individual solution involved the construction of a universal system of analysis and preliminary preparation of data from human-readable sources. In total, the following were implemented: "Unified Truth Center" about rolling stock repairs for the New Transportation Company; a historic repository of repair data; a data showcase for developing reports based on it; a multidimensional repair data cube that allows you to build arbitrary reporting; visualization of IFRS reporting on Power BI dashboards; automated preparation of data for visualization from human-readable documents.

Technologies: A corporate analytical repository for consolidating data on railway transportation and repair of rolling stock from two accounting systems of the company. Separate storefronts for repairs and shipments (transportation) have been implemented.

This is the first IT Pro project that implements data storage in the DataVault methodology, which allows you to quickly expand the data model (entities, facts, attributes). Architecturally, it is an ETL process, an analytical data warehouse, a data cube.
