Sberbank Business Software, commissioned by the Abrau-Durso Group of Companies, has developed a demand forecasting model based on artificial intelligence (AI). The algorithm predicts demand for the company's products with high accuracy thanks to in-depth analysis of retrospective data and additional parameters, which allows the business to optimize its processes and accurately calculate the workload of production, plan the volume of raw materials, optimize logistics and reduce costs. Sberbank Business Soft announced this on June 22, 2023.

The main task set by Abrau-Durso for the developers was to create a system for more accurate sales forecasting in annual business planning, as well as short-term planning for 10 weeks to understand the specific production cycle. The use of AI allowed the company to move from basic forecasting tools to a more advanced approach that allows you to take into account all the factors and create a comprehensive picture of the expected demand for products.

The project implemented by Sberbank Business Software is part of Abrau-Durso's comprehensive strategy for introducing AI technologies to predict and optimize business processes and increase business efficiency in general. At the first stage, predictive demand analytics was implemented for the selected commodity group based on internal company data.

As part of the second stage, it is planned to build additional models, which will include the entire range of the company. At the third stage, it is planned to increase the number of factors used in forecasting: the model will take into account aggregated and impersonal data on buyer behavior, information on the dynamics of the market as a whole and other parameters.
