2023: Development of a TV antenna for marine vessels
On June 22, 2023, the Roselectronics holding of Rostec State Corporation announced the development of a domestic digital terrestrial television reception antenna for sea vessels and stationary coastal infrastructure facilities. Serial production of antennas is planned to be launched by the end of 2023.
As part of the initiative development work, engineers of the Neptune Research Institute (part of Roselectronics) have developed a domestic antenna for receiving broadcasting signals and channels of DVB-T2 terrestrial digital television, which can be used at civil and special-purpose offshore facilities.
The development is based on a disco antenna and a transistor low-noise amplifier. The use of such a technical solution made it possible to obtain improved technical characteristics in terms of broadband, wind resistance and material costs compared to imported analogues and exclude foreign components from the product.
The use of computer technologies of electrodynamic modeling in the design of ultrahigh-frequency devices allowed our engineers to create a domestic television antenna for marine use, which is not inferior to foreign samples. The relevance of the development is due to Western sanctions, the lack of domestic analogues and is aimed at ensuring the technological sovereignty of our country, - said Sergey Pomazunov, interim director general of the Neptune Research Institute. |
