Ichalkovsky Cheese Factory (IT outsourcing projects)

2023: MES Implementation

The company IC "Ichalkovsky" decided to implement the MES-system. The project was developed and the system was implemented by Constanta, an IT integrator with extensive experience in digitalizing food production.

To achieve the project objectives, it was decided to develop and implement an MES system to automate the following functions:

• Operational accounting of production by rework:
  • Accounting of acceptance of dairy raw materials (including from own receiving stations), calculation of grade and purchase prices from laboratory indicators
  • Accounting for separation and normalization of dairy raw materials
  • Accounting for cooking, salting, drying, packaging and ripening of cheese products
  • Forming and completing tasks for cutting, packing and marking cheese and oil for customers' orders
  • Accounting of production and used raw materials in the oil shop, whey thickening shop, cheese melting shop
  • Accounting of laboratory analyses of raw materials, semi-finished products and products;
  • Accounting for the receipt and consumption of basic, auxiliary and packaging materials at production sites

• Accounting of finished and matured product residues by chambers and storage locations, quality and state of readiness for shipment
• Planning and dispatching of the work of curtains at work (Formation of tasks for movement and accounting of product movements by curtains)
• Set up integration with the accounting system for automatic transfer of data from the operational accounting system
• Product labeling with Esper equipment and manual

Project results

• The actual traceability of the input of raw materials and materials into the finished products is organized
• The process of forming operational tasks for areas and monitoring their implementation is automated
• A product quality control tool has been implemented at each production site
• A tool has been implemented to control production and non-production losses at each production site
• A tool for ensuring technological control of each production operation (AWS of the cheese maker) has been introduced
