MegaFon has prepared the Stepanovo ski resort for a high load in winter

On June 29, 2023, MegaFon announced that it had improved the quality of communication in the territory of the popular ski resort Stepanovo, preparing the network for the next season. The ski complex is located in the Dmitrovsky urban district of the Moscow region and in winter attracts lovers of outdoor activities.

MegaFon specialists have improved the quality of LTE network coverage throughout the complex, which will allow visitors not only to use high-speed Internet, but also to make calls in maximum quality using VoLTE technology.

An additional base station was installed in the area of ​ ​ the cable car No. 2, which made it possible to increase the capacity in the 2G and 4G standards. When modernizing the network, the 1800 MHz frequency range was used, providing a wide coverage area and high-quality communication even under increased load.

Thanks to stable voice communication and high-speed mobile Internet, skiers on the track can remain in touch in any situation, including with rescue services, and in recreation areas share photos and videos on social networks or contact loved ones, including using video calls.
