2023: Streamlined Primary Logistics Planning Process

Consultants LAMACON have developed a Russian Fishery Company planning methodology for "" logistics that takes into account the specifics industries and can be used in conditions of high volatility of fish the fishery. The optimization of the company's primary logistics planning processes showed the potential effect of an increase in profit by 10 million dollars per year. This was announced on July 29, 2023 by LAMACON.

Earlier RRPK , in the planning of primary logistics, it was carried out manually using Excel tables and required significant improvements. The company did not have the necessary regulatory reference information , internal regulatory documents and clear performance indicators for the planning process. In addition, the specificity and high volatility of the industry did not allow RRPK to use standard approaches in this direction. To optimize the logistics planning process and make it understandable and transparent for all divisions, the management of Russian the Fishing Company invited consulting LAMACON.

Consultants conducted a survey of current processes and divided the planning of RRPC primary logistics into tactical and operational levels, for each of which a target state model was developed. The experts drew up all the necessary regulations, created schemes for visualizing the current statuses for the availability of fuel, provisions, raw materials and materials, filling the hold of trawlers for employees and partners of the company. Also identified the checkpoints and the target level of automation of the planning process, missing directories in internal systems for its implementation.

LAMACON specialists conducted a project support cycle and adjusted the planning process developed by them in accordance with the peculiarities of the RRPK business. Complemented the existing KPI framework and selected realistic targets for two years to come. Optimization of primary logistics planning processes in the future will allow RRPK to increase profit by $10 million per year.
