2023: Hosting servers in Turkish data center Star of Bosphorus

Serverspace, an international cloud service provider, on July 4, 2023 announced the connection of equipment in a Tier III data center in Turkey. The provider already hosts servers in data centers in North America, the CIS and Amsterdam, and continues to expand in the European region. Now users can rent cloud infrastructure in a data center in Turkey, Istanbul - Star of Bosphorus.

In the Turkish data center, the Serverspace team rented 2 racks and placed 7 vStack-R 2U servers in them, supporting Intel Xeon Gold 6226 processors. Serverspace users can deploy virtual machines in Turkey on an innovative hyperconverged platform. vStack The maximum available configuration per server is up to 16 CPUs and up to 128 GB of RAM.

The Star of Bosphorus data center is a data center in Turkey certified according to the international standard Uptime Institute Tier III Design & Resort. It provides continuous operation in the event of an earthquake and a high degree of physical protection of the server equipment. This is achieved by structural seismic isolation, which allows you to protect the entire building from an earthquake. Provides uninterrupted power supply based on 2N redundancy scheme and freedom from many physical risks. The data center has a total electrical capacity of 16 MW, which is enough to provide power for large amounts of data and high-load systems. In addition to physical security, the data center guarantees the necessary technical support and data confidentiality.

The Star of Bosphorus data center was not chosen by us by chance. Firstly, it is a seismic-resistant data center in Turkey with Uptime Institute Tier III certification. Secondly, it is a large protected facility with a four-stage access control system that provides backup access, uninterrupted power supply and freedom from many physical risks, since it is located near the Istanbul distribution power plant. By placing equipment in such a data center, we guarantee a high level of equipment protection and continuous performance of virtual machines, - said Svetlana Sharapova, project manager at Serverspace.

Serverspace recently launched a representative office in Turkey, now the site and control panel are adapted for the local market. Serverspace's customers are startups small and medium-sized businesses that deploy a complete infrastructure in the cloud. They can independently choose the configuration of the necessary server resources and scale them as they develop. Additional services in the form of pre-installed applications, object storage DNS-, hosting automation tools, API CLI and Terraform allow you to customize the infrastructure to the requirements of projects.
