Fujitsu Zero Client

The Fujitsu company presented the solution within the popular concept of "zero" clients – Zero Client – portable Zero Client. Now users of Zero Client will be able to get access to the virtual work places practically everywhere, from any computer connected to network. The Portable Zero Client MZ900 device is designed to satisfy needs of mobile employees which number constantly grows. This automatically configured system ensures exclusive safety, flexibility and convenience of using in comparison with other solutions for remote access.

Modern specialists are even more often forced to work in the mobile mode and to use for the solution of the tasks the most various devices therefore before the companies there is a problem of the organization of the protected remote access to corporate desktop PCs. The Fujitsu company developed portable Zero Client which the independent research company Forrester allocated with an epithet "the popular writer of technologies" for the solution of this task. Innovation received similar determination thanks to the fact that it represents really portable device supporting all standard protected connections and ensuring safety of important data.

The Portable Zero Client MZ900 device is constructed based on the drive USB. The software written in the field of a fixed memory of the device is protected from changes, does not require installation and provides the reliable mechanism of secure access therefore the user can work with an own image of Zero Client in any place. Access to confidential data in the ciphered area of memory of the device is allowed only after connection and passing of authentication. After shutdown of portable Zero Client all data of a working session are removed from that PC from which there was a connection.

Such approach allows to implement all advantages of virtualization of the desktop systems in practice. The companies can save time and resources, and their employees – to get additional benefits thanks to increase in flexibility and productivity of work and also lack of need to constantly carry with itself the notebook. Besides, portable Zero Client helps the organizations to pass to Zero Client infrastructures, using the available equipment that promotes protection of investments into IT.

A system from Fujitsu also allows to exclude one of the main risks related to mobile employees: the unsafe access from the connected PC caused by viruses or the Trojan programs. Corporate networks are protected from threats since the connected PCs have no opportunity to change parameters of connection of the client Portable Zero Client systems and software for authentication. Besides, the software for secure access which is used for ensuring process of login is stored in the protected section of memory of Portable Zero Client. It also provides protection against the malware on the connected PC which can collect information on connections and write the sequence of clicking of keys.

The model of portable Zero Client MZ900 will go on sale in the region CEMEA&I (Central Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India) since the end of November, 2010. The prices can differ depending on the country.
