Kirov tire plant (BOSS-personnel officer)

In Kirov Tire Plant (JSC KShZ) open joint stock company, the enterprise of the Volga Federal District with number of staff more than 4000 people, commercial operation of the modules "Staff List" and "Registration of personnel" of a personnel management system the BOSS-personnel officer is begun. Input in commercial operation of the modules "Time keeping" and "Payroll of a system is made for January 1, 2002.

Project Objectives

For this reason on JSC KShZ the automated control system for personnel (under DOS) was developed on which specialists of the plant worked until recently. In a system there were four independent modules: "Staff list" (on ITR) in department of work and the salary (OTIZ), Registration of personnel, Time keeping - in personnel department and Salary - in settlement section of accounting. In 1999 the decision on system implementation the BOSS-personnel officer was made (based on Oracle DBMS). In November of the same year the agreement between IT and KShZ on creation of the automated control system for personnel was signed. During step-by-step agreement performance pilot installation the BOSS-personnel officer was performed and training of specialists of department of information technologies in IT Academy is provided. In June, 2000 the supplementary agreement about implementation of the basic software of the BOSS-PERSONNEL OFFICER system was signed.

Project Progress

At present the enterprise operates regular and personnel system module the BOSS-personnel officer in 12 workplaces (10 - personnel department, 2 - OTIZ). By the end of September, 2001 there took place retrofitting by computers of jobs of future users of a system (timekeepers, norm setters of divisions, the accountant of settlement section, etc.).

Since January, 2002 started full-scale operation of the BOSS-PERSONNEL OFFICER system in 45 workplaces.

All complex of works on implementation of the automated control system for personnel was performed by forces of specialists of the plant. The initiative group of IT specialists who without separation from the current work were engaged in studying of a software package, new to themselves was organized. During implementation the changes reflecting specifics of personnel administration in KShZ were made to the existing modules, the Norm setter add-on module is developed, the database structure is changed. Also completion of updates from the Oracle tables BOSS-PERSONNEL OFFICER for the purpose of use of these data for the solution of other problems of enterprise management was implemented.

Staff of the Kirov company "New Equipment" which is an old and reliable partner of IT helped specialists of JSC KShZ to select a system and gave consulting support throughout project implementation. New Equipment also performed delivery of all necessary for implementation the BOSS-personnel officer of the computer equipment.
