3Tera AppLogic 2.9 is the first version of the platform released under the CA brand: the company purchased the supplier of this solution in February of the current year and just completed integration of this software with own products. It should be noted that recently CA concentrated on acquisition of cloud solutions, having spent for merger of supplier companies in this sphere more than one billion dollars.

CA 3Tera AppLogic 2.9 represents the cloud platform centered on applications which allows the enterprises customers and MSP to create and unroll applications quickly. Among new features of this version of the platform there are enhanced capabilities of switching at failure of network, condition monitoring of storage systems, more flexible configurations of IP and security policies, import of images of OVF and Web API which allow to create portals. Besides, the platform allows to create composite business services and supports library of reusable services. As the vice president of CA for marketing of cloud computing Jay Fry claims, with the help 3Tera AppLogic it is possible to create cloud infrastructure in only 4 hours, loading from the directory reusable applications by the simple drag-and-drop method.

The CA 3Tera AppLogic platform is created to help the enterprises and suppliers of managed services (Managed Service Provider, MSP) in creation and start of new services, facilitating these tasks. Using the intuitive graphical interface, users have an opportunity to manage the services consisting of a large number of components as a uniform object, executing start, a stop, copying, duplication, reservation and even completely transferring services to other data processing centers.

CA 3Tera AppLogic facilitates the translation of applications and the accompanying environments from development stages and testing to a final stage. Components just move on the screen from one section to another. At the same time the configuration does not need to be duplicated manually. Besides, users of a system have ampler opportunities for accounting of peak loads. If necessary new computing resources can be easily added to applications. In general AppLogic 2.9 were among innovations in CA 3Tera: higher coefficient of network availability, the increased flexibility of IP, the improved security, the improved monitoring of DWH, expanded support of database replication and also full compatibility with the previous versions of the platform.
