Morozov became the head of TsNIItochmash in April 2021. The Rostec report on his appointment said that Morozov was "a professional military gunner who went from platoon commander to unit commander." He led the training grounds in the Moscow Military District, the third Central Research Institute for the Development of Weapons for the Ground Forces and the Airborne Forces, was the director of the testing department of the Instrument Design Bureau named after Academician A.G. 2023: Resignation from the post of head of TsNIItochmash

On July 12, 2023, it became known about the departure of Oleg Morozov from the post of head of the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TsNIItochmash, part of the Rostec corporation ). He has been leading the institution since 2021.

According to RIA Novosti, in addition to Morozov, three of his deputies, three advisers and a number of other employees resigned. At the same time, their names are unknown to the agency.

The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TsNIItochmash) is engaged in the development and production of weapons and military equipment for various branches of the military. By July 2023, one of the main projects of the institute is the development of the equipment of the "soldier of the future" of the new generation "Legionnaire," as well as the supply of sets of equipment of the current generation "Warrior."
