Ol! Goode uses a technique of determination of KPI in QlikView

Premises of the project and choice of the solution

To support activity of the company in the conditions of constantly upcoming business, the powerful information system which allows to operate instantly with large volumes of data is necessary and to widely unroll analytical applications of any complexity.

Based on the held tender, the QlikView system as it most conforms to the imposed functional requirements became the winner.

As the partner for implementation the ATK consulting group having wide experience of system implementation of QlikView and extensive examination in the field of projects on creation of industry solutions on the basis of this system was selected.

QlikView implementation

The project began in November, 2009, at early stages of implementation there was employee involvement in development and system testing, and in a month the first results – working reports and the periodic reporting were received. One of the most important features during implementation was active participation in the project of several key staff of the company.

[1] The tasks of creation of the information model of data meeting all requirements of the industry, development of a technique of determination of key business indicators were set for ATK consulting group. Besides, it was necessary to create the system of visualization of indicators in different analytical cuts and to provide a technique of reconciliation and control of integrity of data from the different systems.

During creation of a data model the ATK consulting group considered all main features of information support and business processes in the company Ol! A buzzing, including - use of different sources (Oracle, SAP, excel, 1C) and operating in large volumes of data (about 200 million records). During the project a number of analytical applications according to the analysis of key performance indicators at employees and the main users of a system, marginality and a margin, turnover, a drain and the redemption since the beginning of a current period (year/month) to required was created. Also the plan-fact analysis and the analysis of the actions held and marketing campaigns was implemented.

The stage of creation of user environment and visualization of key indicators included formation of convenient and externally clear user interface; the hierarchical analysis in groups (geography, goods); dynamic comparison of any groups, creation of ratings and tops (Top1000), shares in dynamic cuts (percent, rubles, margin, etc.); plan-fact dashboards. Graphic elements most of which clearly reflect KPI were created. Treat them: trends and dynamics (Line Chart); share comparison (Pie Chart); ABC the analysis on two indicators; dynamics of change of a remaining balance on time.
