2023: Smart Medical Bed Production Launch
Papillon has launched the production of smart medical beds for intensive care units. Igor Mendzebrovsky, Development Director of the Novosibirsk Company, spoke about this on July 12, 2023.
According to him, the company's medical furniture is produced at the site of the Medical and Biological Union. In 2024, Papillon plans to launch its own plant.
The Medical and Biological Union Group of Companies, which is a partner of Papillon, is engaged in the production of medical products, including rapid tests to determine blood clotting parameters, as well as a group and Rh factor. Medical furniture, including medical functional beds, is included in the Third Extra protectionist list.
According to Mendzebrovsky in a conversation with TASS, the volume of production of new medical beds in 2023 will be 120 units for a total amount of about 80 million rubles, and within three to four years it is planned to increase production to 2,500 copies.
High-tech beds are designed to import substitution of similar products of American and Czech companies that have left the Russian market. According to Mendzebrovsky, you can buy Turkish analogues, but their cost would be twice as high.
Automatic patient repositioning involves reducing the burden on nursing staff. The functionality of the products is extensive: they allow you to develop legs, verticalize patients, and also have anti-pressure regimens. In addition, the products can be additionally equipped with rehabilitation functions for patients who have suffered a stroke or heart attack, as well as injured and injured.
By mid-July 2023, Papillon had already produced several medical beds, they cost from 400 thousand to 1.8 million rubles.[1]
