2023: Building a portfolio of digital transformation projects
Sberbank's Digital Transformation as a Service project team, together with IT partner GlowByte, has formed a portfolio of digital transformation projects for Sibagro. The work was carried out in all areas of the holding's business in order to increase the operational efficiency of processes. GlowByte announced this on July 19, 2023.
The specialists held 8 strategic sessions with the participation of representatives of Sibagro business areas, including crop production, animal husbandry, meat processing, as well as service services, including commerce, logistics, supply, finance, security, legal unit, HR, communications, IT, analytics. The purpose of this format of work was to enable everyone from among the holding's employees to take part in the project, voice their initiatives and justify their feasibility.
The methodology used in the framework of the project made it possible to combine a professional understanding of the current situation at the enterprise by the holding's specialists and an expert opinion on the best practices and examples of business digitalization.
The result of the work was the formation of digital transformation maps in 13 main areas of the company's business. The maps included 184 initiatives, on the basis of which 30 priority complex projects were subsequently formed and worked out in detail. The waves of their implementation were also determined, taking into account the main parameters: the economic effect of the introduction, the testing of the technology, the pre-visit of the project.
We faced a complex task - to study the current state of each line of business and understand where and to what extent digitalization is required: to identify where it is necessary to solve accounting and automation issues, and where there is already a need to use digital solutions with AI technologies. In addition, it was necessary to "try on" in detail and assess the applicability of innovative technologies in the processes of the organization, taking into account the current degree of digitalization and market trends, said Alexander Efimov, executive director of Advanced Analytics GlowByte.

To maximize the involvement of Sibagro employees in the process, Stratage Partners Group specialists conducted an educational unit within the framework of the personnel reserve day. About 400 people took part in a seminar on the importance of digitalization, the introduction of information technologies and operational improvements in business.
The digital transformation project is an important milestone in the history of our holding. The value of the proposed approach is that initiatives for transformation were not only offered as someone's experience, but "rose from below" - they came directly from the company's team. Everyone could participate in the project and defend their proposal within the framework of working sessions. As a result, coverage is almost the entire company. The digital transformation of a company is a complex process in which business-related tasks are primary to technological aspects, and not vice versa, as it might seem at first glance.
