2023: Seizure of property worth 16 billion rubles
In July 2023, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region arrested funds and other property of the former leaders of Kristall Lefortovo Marina Pogodina and Sergei Vorobyov for a total of about 16 billion rubles.
The court drew attention to the corresponding ruling by the Interfax agency. It writes that on July 6, 2023, the court received a statement by the United Financial Capital Bank (OFK), which is the creditor of Crystal Lefortovo, about the adoption of security measures.
The bank asked arbitration to prohibit state departments from registering any actions related to real estate and KDL transport. The court found it reasonable to replenish the bankruptcy estate of the organization at the expense of the assets of the KDL in the event of a subsidiary.
Crystal-Lefortovo Holding was founded in 1999 and was one of the five largest producers of vodka and distillery products in the country. However, in 2018, the Status Group company went bankrupt, owing the holding's enterprises more than 6 billion rubles. After that, financial problems began in the Civil Code.
In July 2018, VTB Bank filed a lawsuit for bankruptcy of the holding. The producer of strong alcohol owes the credit institution 1.2 billion. In October, the court granted the bank's application and transferred the company under surveillance. In July 2019, Crystal-Lefortovo was declared insolvent.
According to Interfax, at the request of the bankruptcy trustee (KU), Pogodina and Vorobyov were involved in the subsidy. The decision of the appeal against Pogodina and Vorobyov is dated January 18. A separate consideration was awarded to Pavel Smetana, who was also brought to justice in the fall of 2022.
In both cases, the KDL liability was deferred to a later date as soon as settlements with creditors ended. District arbitration in April 2023 upheld the court decisions.[1]
