2023: Acquisition of 25 MAZ buses

Municipal Transport Company Rostovpassazhirtrans acquired large-capacity MAZ buses on a financial lease basis, under which SberLeasing acted as the supplier. Sberbank announced this on July 25, 2023.

Rostov Buses will enter the routes from August 1, 2023.

Each of the cars is equipped with air conditioners, ramps for people with limited mobility, a digital tablet, as well as a cashless payment system that Sberbank implements. In the city, more than 1.4 boards are equipped with bank terminals for quick payment by card or smartphone.

Buses will run along the city routes that connect the Western and Northern residential areas with the Selmash microdistrict.

According to the National Union of Liability Insurers, on urban and suburban routes in Russia, 31% of buses are older than the standard service life and require updating. The modernization of public transport is an important component of the development of the city. We see how much urban transport is in demand among Rostovites. Indeed, in terms of the volume of transactions, Rostov annually enters the top 5 cities of Russia, so we were glad to provide our support,
said Ruslan Salimov, manager of the Rostov branch of Sberbank.

Transport accessibility is one of the main metrics of the quality of life of the population of large cities. But the convenience of public transport is equally important. In a week, Rostovites will be able to personally make sure how comfortable the buses are and how they differ from the models that they replaced. I am sure that a trip in comfortable conditions and coolness in the summer heat will cause passengers exclusively,
noted Nadezhda Tkachenko, Director of the South-Western Regional Branch of Sberbank Leasing JSC.
