The LANIT group completed the project of creation of a corporate system of the reporting on the basis of these billing systems of JSC CenterTelecom.
Background
Huge amount of data, circulating in different information systems of the company and also enforcement of a centralized system of billing uniform for 15 CenterTelecom branches of JSC, radical changes in the system of preparation of the reporting of the company at all its levels caused.
About process
Project works were performed in two stages.
During the first and most difficult stage the platform of a new corporate system of the reporting was created. For it the new single billing system – an automated billing system with subscribers of the fixed telephony (ASR) Start was data sources.
At the second stage one more data source automating accounting of provision of services of broadband access (broadband access), the module of ASR "Start" - Start of IP was connected to a system.
About technology
The technological solution represents a three-level system in which conversion and data storage from sources is implemented based on software of Oracle (Oracle Enterprise Edition 10g and Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g), and for report generation the software of MicroStrategy is used. Reports on subscriber services, income and services, receivables, number capacity, traffic (telephony and broadband access), payments and also statistic reports can be created or on requests of users, or according to the schedule. At the same time generation and viewing reports is performed both on the normal "fat" client, and on "thin" by means of the Web browser.
The developed corporate system of the reporting allowed not only to unify and centralize all process of preparation and submission of the reporting of such large company as JSC CenterTelecom, but also it is essential to reduce realization value new and supports of old requirements to the reporting. The solution, intuitive to all participants of process which considerably simplified and accelerated process of preparation of reports was created, having at the same time reduced risks of any errors. Besides, its use unloaded on preparation of the analytical reporting a billing system and systems, adjacent to it.
Work results
The uniform tool for reporting allowing all interested services and the staff of the company quickly is implemented and to easily obtain reliable information about activity of all its branches.
