2023: System Release
On August 8, 2023, Stability AI announced the StableCode AI platform based on a large language model that is designed to generate program code.
The new neural network is said to be designed to help programmers with their day-to-day work and is also a great learning tool for aspiring developers looking to take their skills to the next level. StableCode is expected to help a huge number of developers around the world learn how to encode, ultimately making IT more accessible to users.
The StableCode platform is available in several versions. The base case is trained on the open source BigCode dataset, which includes several terabytes of source code in 358 programming languages. The basic model was then further trained in popular programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, Javascript, C, markdown and C++.
The second model is an instruction model optimized for specific uses: it is designed to help solve complex programming problems. For training, an array of 120 thousand pairs in code/response format was used.
The third model is designed to process much more code at the same time: this allows the user to view or edit the equivalent of up to five medium-sized Python files. This tool is also suitable for training beginners who want to solve more complex problems.
Stability AI is committed to making technology more accessible, and StableCode is an important step towards achieving this goal. Programmers of all levels will be able to create code to solve their daily problems and improve life using artificial intelligence, and we would like to help with this, says Stability AI.[1] |
