2023: Creation of an automated MRO planning system

Metalloinvest has launched an automated maintenance and repair planning system. The developer of the solution is JSA Group, which announced the start of the project on August 10, 2023. It is planned that the system will be launched in pilot mode at the company's production sites in 2024.

It is expected that the system will simplify the work of planners: the formation of operational plans for a week and a day will become a third less time consuming, the efficiency of the use of staff working time will increase by 10%.

The new digital platform will allow you to display the resources available for holding events, appoint performers taking into account their skills, model the operational schedule of work over a different time horizon, quickly analyze the status and make the necessary adjustments.

"We began preparing for the implementation of the solution last year, with the introduction of the weekly planning process," explained Evgeny Zagudaev, head of the department for planning and cost management of MR Metalloinvest. - Pilot sites are the most prepared structural subdivisions from the point of view of maturity of planning processes. There is a lot of work to be done to update the standards and describe the skills necessary for the repair work - this is the incoming data for the operation of the automated planning system. "

In the future, the system will be supplemented with elements of intelligent plan optimization, such as automatic scheduling with a miscalculation of the minimum time for work at the maximum load of available resources or the formation of a schedule based on the requirements for managing the reliability of equipment.

It is also planned to integrate with the software and hardware equipment maintenance and repair complexes (mobile maintenance), which were previously put into operation at Metalloinvest enterprises, which are used for scheduled rounds. As a result of integration, all planned work and their status will be displayed on an interactive map familiar to many users on navigators and applications on smartphones. This will improve the usability of the equipment and provide a high speed of decision-making.

"In many respects, this project has no analogues in the Russian market. Our development allows automating work processes from the planning stage to execution, while taking into account various external factors and updating tasks in real time, "said Yegor Lashukov, Product Director of the JSA Group Digital Project Management Cluster. "The system provides data exchange with any external ERP system, is easy to use, can be adapted for various production tasks."
