Kaliningrad "Avtotor" began production of JMC cars

The Avtotor plant began production of JMC cars. The Kaliningrad automaker announced this on August 16, 2023. The company has set up the assembly of the following brand models:

• compact urban commercial car Carrying (total weight 3.5 and 5 tons; wheelbase 3360 mm; the length of the chassis is 5900 mm; a 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine with 109 hp at 3,600 rpm)
• Conquer universal commercial vehicle (total weight 9.4 tons; wheelbase 3815 mm; chassis length 6990 mm; diesel engine with turbocharging of the 4th ecological class with a working volume of 2.9 liters with a capacity of 156 hp at 2800 rpm)
• Vigus pickup truck (total weight 2.8 tons; wheelbase 3085 mm; chassis length 5345 mm; diesel engine with a turbocharged displacement of 2.5 liters with a capacity of 128 hp at 4000 rpm).

Autotor begins production of JMC cars

In the future, the parties plan to increase production capacity for the production of JMC cars. There are plans to increase production volumes, increase the level of localization and further deepen the production technology. Also, when reaching the required volumes, Avtotor can begin a phased transition to the production of JMC cars in a full cycle - welding, painting, assembly.

By mid-August 2023 Russia , there is a wide dealer network of the JMC brand, which includes over 25 dealerships in various regions. JMC and Avtotor expect that the involvement of manufacturers of localized auto components in the technological process will help increase the competitiveness of JMC cars in the Russian market.
