2023: Entry of the first complexes into service

Russian troops received the first automated air defense control systems "Master-SV," developed by specialists of the Scientific and Production Enterprise "Rubin." This became known on August 21, 2023.

The system is designed for reconnaissance of airspace using external and built-in reconnaissance equipment, as well as for coordinating anti-aircraft combat. The unified module includes:

  • optical-electronic station;
  • remote optical-electronic observation device;
  • small-size radar detector;
  • radio intelligence station.

The developers have created a database of optical characteristics of various air targets and features of natural interference radiation. It is noted that a small-sized radar detector combines the capabilities of a survey radar and the high accuracy of measuring coordinates inherent in radar tracking systems.

"Master-SV" was developed on the basis of the Barnaul-T air defense automation system, taking into account its use and can be integrated into the system of all air defense systems in service with the Russian Armed Forces, including promising ones. The complex is equipped with an optical-electronic station that can detect, recognize and accompany air targets, as well as coordinate the operation of air defense systems.

Serial production of "Master-SV" was launched in 2022 immediately after the completion of state tests. In July 2022, it was reported that the new complex would begin to be mass-delivered to the troops towards the end of 2023, but this happened earlier, apparently, production was accelerated.

According to TASS, citing a source, by August 21, 2023, the complexes of automated control of military air defense systems "Master-SV" are mass-produced, the first batch of machines has already been handed over to the customer.[1]
