The GAGAR > N product line includes the JBOF disk array, developed according to the OCP standard for a 21-inch server architecture. JBOF or Just a Bunch Flash of flash external storage system-, which connects directly to the server. This approach allows you to increase the amount of available memory. The solution from GAGAR > N has a high disk density. The DAE occupies a 2OU of three JBOF arrays with a capacity of 16 NVMe drives U.2 each with a total of 48 drives per DAE.

Moreover, the disk array architecture is quite flexible, and if necessary, GAGAR > N can install M.2 NVMe drives instead of 16 2.5-inch SSDs. They are more compact than U2, so 32 M2 drives can be placed in one JBOF. These are 96 disks on the chassis. Increasing the number of disks gives you more options for backing up data and improving the reliability of data storage.

The connection to the server is made using the retimer PCIe gen 3x16 card, which provides a data transfer rate of up to 15.75 GB/s. JBOF from GAGAR > N is a separate product that will be delivered independently of the company's servers.

The peculiarity of the architecture according to the OCP standard is that both expansion cards and disks need to be displayed on the front panel of the server. Therefore, customers who need to work with large amounts of data without losing speed can choose solutions with external JBOF disk arrays attached. The server in this case sees additional disks as its own. Our product is also as flexible as possible. You can build different scenarios: for example, connect one JBOF to one or more servers.
