History

• Founded in 1956, Kamkabel had to provide needs of the country for modern cable products.
• On June 17, 1957 the first products were made. This day is considered the Birthday of the plant.
• In January, 1967 the plant for the first time executed the state order on delivery to Singapore of 100 thousand yards of a cable with a section of 0.25 quarter of inch according to the British BS standard.
• On November 14, 1972 for the first time the State quality label – a pentahedron with the symbolical circuit of scales entered in it was appropriated to a product of the plant.
• In 1992 Kamkabel passed into a private property: On November 4 the registration certificate of open joint stock company was signed. Despite an economic crisis of an era of reorganization, Kamkabel continued to turn out products and to remain the leader of the industry.
• In 1995 the quality management system of the enterprise according to the international standard ISO 9002-94 was certified.
• In 1998 large-scale cooperation with Gazprom began.
• After the August events of 1998 the plant managed to save the leading positions among 35 domestic cable plants again. In 1999 Kamkabel became the only enterprise of the cable industry which entered the rating of "200 largest companies of Russia on sales amount".
• In 2006 the plant became the owner of the award "The Best Employer of Russia".
• in 2007 it was conferred the award "Leader of the Industry".
• In 2008 the Kamkabel industrial complex was leased by owners to the new company – Kamsky kabel LLC. Today the enterprise aims to save the leading place in the industry.
• In 2008 production of cables on medium and high tension (up to 220 kV) with isolation from peroksidnosshivayemy polyethylene was open.
• In April, 2019 the CEO of Kamsky kabel LLC Vladimir Ponomarev designated priority activities for 2019 - installation of the new equipment and expansion of capacities, mastering of new products, expansion of functionality the ERP system and further work on improvement of business processes of the enterprise. It is also important to note that labor productivity increased by 13%, and the quantity of claims from consumers decreased by 11%.
