2023: Modernizing the Internet

On August 24, 2023, MegaFon announced that it had improved the quality of communication in the Taezhnye Dachi tourist complex, the point of attraction for vacationers in Zvenigorod.

To provide tourists with fast internet and stable mobile communication, MegaFon specialists have expanded their coverage network. As a result, the LTE 1800 band became available to subscribers, which has high speed and good cellular signal penetration through the building.

The modern network will allow subscribers to use the Internet at speeds up to 200 Mbps. Also, by installing a base station on the territory of the complex, the VoLTE coverage area has been increased - call technology with instant dialing and clear sound, - said Mikhail Prakhov, MegaFon Director for Development in the Moscow Region.

The Taezhnye Dachi complex is located 40 kilometers from Moscow. On its territory there are 9 hotels, as well as 10 thematic museums. One of the most popular is the LEGO Museum. On an exposition area of 350 square meters, you can see rare series of the cult designer, inspect a toy copy of Hogwarts Castle or a unique church assembled from 22 thousand details. In addition, the Museum of Wooden Architecture, the Museum of the Russian Furnace, the Hedgehog Museum and others are also open to visitors. High-speed Internet is now available at all facilities.

The mobile network in Taezhnykh Dachs has been upgraded as part of MegaFon's programme to develop infrastructure in tourist destinations in the Moscow Region. Based on the results of radio measurements and big data analysis, the operator's specialists determine locations with a large flow of subscribers where it is necessary to improve communication. In 2023, the program provides for the installation of base stations at 29 facilities, of which 14 have already been erected, including in the Shakhmatovo estate, the Ecorancho Alekseevka agroturistic complex and the Stepanovo ski resort.
