DPC of Amadeus

On September 27, 2010 was Amadeus of the certificate Energy efficient enterprise of the international organization TÜV Süd, the providing service in independent certification, consulting, tests and training is announced assignment to a data processing center.

The certificate of TÜV Süd was appropriated according to the results of power audit of capacities of the Amadeus Center located in Erdinge near Munich in Germany. The center which is the largest (according to the company) in Europe civil object of this sort, processes all volume of transactions for Amadeus group worldwide. In 2009 this indicator exceeded 670 million paid tourist transactions.

During efficiency analysis of use of energy resources in the Center special attention was given to questions of power supply, cooling and climatic control, the IT equipment and also processes and procedures of purchases, installation and dismantling of technical resources.

According to the results of audit, TÜV Süd carried out joint work with personnel of infrastructure management of the Center, storage systems and department of capacity planning for the purpose of plan development on implementation of energy saving measures and achievements of the standards necessary for obtaining the certificate of the energy efficient enterprise.

As a result of certification the internal instructions concerning all activity of the Center in terms of ensuring stability were developed. In parallel the Amadeus company makes additional efforts for further work of the Center according to the principles of a resursoeffektivnost and further prolongation of the certificate in 2012.
