2023: Opening of KII Cybersecurity Laboratory
TUSURe The opening of the training scientifically and production center (laboratory) "" took place in. Cyber security critical information infrastructure The center was created in conjunction with the company InfoTeCS"," which is a partner of the university and is part of the consortium in the direction of "Technology of trusted interaction." This was announced on September 4, 2023 by representatives of TUSUR.
The history of cooperation between our university and InfoTeCS has been going on for a long time: we are training personnel, improving joint programs. By creating such laboratories, we can rightfully say that TUSUR is a practice-oriented university that immerses students and young scientists in a system of technological solutions through real circuitry, projects, and hardware. I hope that in the near future we will reach the next level of collaboration, and we will have not only a laboratory, but a center for scaling personnel training, creating technologies, solutions, products that provide sovereign technologies. welcomed Victor Rulevsky, rector of TUSUR |
We are honored to work with TUSUR, our cooperation is extremely fruitful and allows us to hope for achieving our goals. We hope that the future generation of students, engineers will study our technical achievements and will participate in the development of products to protect information. The application course announced by TUSUR is designed to ensure that after graduation, the student will be ready to start working as part of the InfoTeCS development team. There is already a positive experience in this direction: four years ago we cut the ribbon, opening a quantum project. Then Alexander Alexandrovich Shelupanov took on increased obligations: to release 50 opticians. As of September 2023, 7 opticians work in our production. All the young people who came to us after the student bench after a couple of months could customize the equipment. told Andrey Chapchaev, CEO of InfoTeCS |
The fact that the company is investing in the university is a very important point. This laboratory is equipped with fully domestic certified equipment, the company's intellectual property - methodological complexes, which means that we are on the right track. noted Alexander Shelupanov, Director of the Central Committee of the NTI "Technologies of Trusted Interaction," President of TUSUR |
In his speech, he introduced those present to the history of cooperation between InfoTeCS and TUSUR and the projects implemented over the past five years.
When we conceived the creation of this laboratory, we understood that by September 2023, the volume of critical information infrastructure, according to various estimates, reaches about 70-80% of all information structures. It was obvious that we needed a center where scientific research, practical developments and, of course, educational programs for the development of the security of critical information infrastructures: health care, power, the military industry, etc. said Alexander Shelupanov |
The modern educational and scientific and production space of the laboratory is equipped with software and hardware complexes of the InfoTeCS Group of Companies. This is the AMPIRE cyber police, PAC ViPNet Coordinator HW100C, PAC ViPNet Coordinator HW1000, PAC ViPNet Coordinator HW1000 IDS. In addition, the laboratory is equipped with educational and methodological complexes "Corporate protection against internal threats to information security" and "Virtual infrastructure."
The Cybersecurity Center at CUES TUSUR will help students get a comprehensive idea of the process of managing security incidents computer in systems - detecting, computer attacks responding to them and building a security system for a critical information infrastructure that meets modern information security requirements.
Classes on the basis of the center will be included in the educational process of all areas and specialties of the Faculty of Security, including within the framework of the master's program "Information Security of Critical Information Infrastructure Facilities" that opens in the academic year. Among the disciplines that will be taught here are "Identifying incidents and countering attacks on CII facilities"; "Incident and Business Continuity Management"; "Protection of information in computer networks"; "Information Security Management" and others.
On the basis of the laboratory's hardware and software, it is planned to carry out existing ones (for example, "Identification of incidents and countering attacks on CII facilities") and develop programs for additional professional education.
In addition, the equipment of the center is planned to be used in solving a number of scientific and production problems:
- development and testing of technologies for assessing the level and maintaining trust of a given level between participants in information exchange and technologies for building complex solutions of trusted interaction for use in application tasks;
- modeling threats and attacks, development and testing of technologies for countering malicious actions in CII systems and general-purpose systems.
