Gazprom Neft will pay Lanita for each Print on outsourcing

Hewlett-Packard (HP Russia) implements the agreement of media control of printing in JSC Gazprom Neft. Within the project the Hewlett-Packard company solves a complex of problems of standardization and optimization of all chain of printing, providing the maximum operating time of the park of printers without idle times, to cost reduction on support of the park of the printing customer's equipment. Partners of the project are the companies LANIT and "Onlanta".

This project was the next stage of strategic cooperation of JSC Gazprom Neft and Hewlett-Packard in implementation of best practices of management of IT, and is based on the basic principles of processes of ITIL. Use of technologies of support of the printing equipment of HP allows to provide quick response and providing expert services for operational resuming of operability of the equipment at emergence of a malfunction, permanent improvement of management and functioning of all environment of printing, increase in availability and reliability of resources of printing.

The department of network integration of LANIT as Gold Preferred Partner HP within the project undertook functions of integrator on ensuring functioning of comprehensive support of the environment of printing. Services extend to all components of a line of list devices of HP, including printers, HP print servers, components of memory and accessories of HP, for example, paper feed trays, modules of two-sided printing, etc. Only original spare parts and materials of HP are used.

The ONLANTA company acts in the project as the partner providing support of the project and performing the first support line of the printer park. ONLANTA controls operability of the printing customer's equipment, makes necessary replacements and repair of equipment.

According to Konstantin Lobachyov, the head on service and changes of Department of information technologies, automation and telecommunications of JSC Gazprom Neft: "Due to transfer of support of printing processes to outsourcing we have an opportunity to leave from capital costs of acquisition of the equipment. Besides, the processes connected with service of printing devices become simpler; the efficiency of reaction of a support service increases and unavailable time of the equipment is reduced. Now we do not need to keep in a stock supplies for printing devices. Besides, the document flow connected with support of requests, agreements, delivery notes was reduced. The general cutting of costs for maintenance and operation of printing devices according to preliminary estimates should be up to 8% a year, and in practice based on 2 quarters 2010 approaches 11%".

Within providing service the concept "Print" which includes all expenses of JSC Gazprom Neft on providing printing is entered. Thus, the transparency of these expenses as the customer pays services according to the actual quantity of the made prints is provided, and these costs directly depend on volumes of printout of documents.

As Vyacheslav Razovsky, the account manager on work with customers of an oil and gas sector of HP told: "Before the project of HP carried out the analysis and submitted the plan of optimization of the park of the printing equipment at the Moscow office "Gazprom Neft". Thus, already at an installation stage the park was reduced by 15-20%, and optimal placement of the equipment for elimination of overloads or idle times of printers was provided. Unification of the park of printing devices and withdrawal from operation of the outdated devices which are not entering the equipment list approved by the parties was one of project objectives also". In the project progress the Hewlett-Packard company was created the effective system of logistics of supplies and the new equipment. Now these business processes relating to activity, non-core for JSC Gazprom Neft, are implemented by Hewlett-Packard company in partnership with ONLANTA company.

Oleg Kolganov, the deputy manager of directorate of projects in the Gazprom group of LANIT company noted: "The project calculated on 36 months started on March 1st the 2010th year. During the project replacement of 100% of list devices (in total about 270 units) by new will be made. At a stage of installation of the equipment replacement of 30% of the park of list devices by the new equipment was made, and then in a planned order replacement of other equipment will be made".

Now the stage of installation is completed, and ONLANTA started rendering services in media control of printing in the mode of commercial operation".

In the long term JSC Gazprom Neft is going to transfer to services of media control of printing all the child structures, both Moscow, and regional. Besides, the customer considers a question of expansion of the nomenclature of the equipment to transfer on support.
