2024: Development of CETRA bulldozer simulator T-20.02K

Sitronics KT, part of the Sitronics Group, has developed a training simulator based on virtual reality technology to train bulldozer drivers and service specialists. Sitronics announced this on May 6, 2024.

The CHETRA T-20.02K bulldozer simulator is based on the real cockpit and is designed to teach the basics of equipment control, obtaining initial tactile and visual control skills. In addition, it will help practice troubleshooting skills. During the training, errors will be automatically recorded and statistical results will be generated.

Thus, the simulator allows you to study the basic methods and rules for managing a tracked bulldozer, learn how to control equipment and attachments (dump, ripper and traction winch), practice troubleshooting skills by simulating the instructor emergency modes of operation of the bulldozer and equipment failures associated with a risk to operator health or damage to equipment. Virtual control of the machine provides for many options for sites: plains, climbs and slopes, swamps, sands, mud, as well as working conditions, including different periods of the year, days with different levels of lighting and weather conditions.

The VR simulator was developed by Sitronics KT specialists under a supply contract for a training center in which specialists from operating and servicing organizations are trained in the design, control and repair of CHETRA equipment. Based on the results of the exercises for the examinees, it is planned to generate a score for the exercises, a database on the results of the exercises, view the results on the instructor's screen, and analyze with a list of errors.

To maximize compliance with the conditions of real operation, the simulator is equipped with a VR-helmet and controllers for capturing hand movements with tactile recoil. The cockpit is equipped with all levers, pedals and instruments installed in the cockpit of CHETRA T-20.02K bulldozer. Sounds of a working bulldozer are played in the cockpit. Training management is carried out from a specialized instructor's place.

2023: Development plan for the Chetra bulldozer simulator training simulator T20.02K

Sitronics KT, part of Sitronics Group, will develop a training simulator based on virtual reality technology for training drivers and service specialists of special equipment, including self-propelled earthmoving machines (bulldozers) on tracked track. Sitronics Group announced this on September 6, 2023.

The CHETRA T20.02K bulldozer simulator is based on the real cockpit and is designed to teach the basics of equipment control, obtaining initial tactile and visual control skills. In addition, it will help practice troubleshooting skills. During the training, errors will be automatically recorded and statistical results will be generated.

The VR simulator is developed by Sitronics KT specialists within the framework of the concluded supply contract for the training center, in which specialists from operating and servicing organizations are trained in the design, control and repair of CHETRA equipment.

To maximize compliance with the conditions of real operation, the simulator will be equipped with a VR-helmet and controllers for capturing hand movements with tactile feedback. The cockpit is equipped with all levers, pedals and instruments installed in the cockpit of CHETRA T20.02K bulldozer. Sounds of a working bulldozer are played in the cockpit. Training management is carried out from a specialized instructor's place.

Previously, we developed and produced a bulldozer simulator on a mobility system with a full-fledged original cabin. We are pleased to continue working with CHETRA, especially this time we are talking about the introduction of technologies to increase involvement in the training process. Truly high-quality and convenient simulators are obtained only with the close cooperation of the manufacturer of equipment and developers, - commented Evgeny Shishenin, Development Director of Sitronics KT.
