The Winest is an Israeli food tech startup launched in 2023. Using the "digital sommelier" function, the service offers to answer questions, after which each user has a "taste profile" with which a person can determine the wines best suited to his personal preferences. The questionnaire contains different questions: what kind of wine the consumer loves (red or white), whether he likes drinks with gas and strong tea, he drinks coffee with or without milk, which he prefers nuts - hazelnuts, cashews, almonds or macadamia, he is more pleasant berry aromas or fruit.
The Winest experts include Tazo Tamazishvili, recognized as one of the best sommeliers in the world according to the French restaurant guide Gault & Millau. The company was created by the founder of the Burger Heroes burger bar chain Igor Podstorshny, Moscow business partner Pyotr Rabchevsky and Ekaterina Shokhina, who had previously been marketing at Adidas, Uniqlo, BMW Group, LVMH and other companies.
