2023: Development of a millivoltmeter to measure noise voltages in highly sensitive devices

Specialists of the holding Schwabe"" State Corporation Rostec have developed and patented a millivoltmeter for measuring noise voltages in highly sensitive devices. Rostec announced this on September 12, 2023.

The device, created at the Polyus Research Institute named after M.F. Stelmakh holding "Schwabe," is designed for devices and systems in which noise level control is of fundamental importance, for example, in highly sensitive photodetector devices of laser rangefinders and locators.

The millivoltmeter can be used as part of devices as a standalone electronic node or as part of other complex electronic nodes. In particular, it is possible to monitor and maintain the noise level at the output of amplifying paths of various frequency and photoelectronic devices with high reliability development.

From existing analogues, our millivoltmeter differs from the original patented method of estimating the RMS value of the noise voltage. Development in terms of its functional characteristics surpasses domestic devices. Such high results are the merit of our specialists. They regularly expand the patent portfolio of the institute and create devices that benefit not only the enterprise, but also help to develop industry and science, "said Evgeny Kuznetsov, General Director of the Polyus Research Institute.
