Aurora and Astra Airlines sign strategic partnership agreement

2023: Agreement on the transition to domestic software

Aurora Airlines JSC and Astra Group of Companies (GC) signed a strategic partnership agreement on September 12, 2023. Aurora Airlines plans to transfer its entire IT infrastructure to domestic solutions of Astra Group of Companies.

The partners will develop an ecosystem of independent software products using innovative technological developments of Astra Group of Companies. It is also supposed to confirm the compatibility of the solutions of the Group of Companies with software and hardware developments of third-party manufacturers used in the systems of Aurora Airlines. The partners plan to develop the services of the airline's data centers for building a critical infrastructure based on domestic IT products, exchange the necessary experience and information, and conduct joint pilot projects based on their technological solutions.

The document was signed by Oleg Yemets, Deputy General Director of Aurora Airlines JSC, and Anton Bugretsov, Commercial Director of Astra Group of Companies.

The airline develops a partnership with Russian IT solution providers and strives to ensure the stable operation of computer systems to provide high-quality service to our passengers. The signing of an agreement with Astra Group of Companies is an important event not only for Aurora Airlines, but also for all Far Eastern aviation. We have long expected domestic IT solutions to replace our operating systems, server, and our communication networks. Reliability is important to us. We have a lot of important information in the work with which, in accordance with the law on the protection of personal data, we cannot use foreign systems. We hope that we will quickly and easily switch to the domestic ecosystem of IT solutions, - commented Oleg Yemets.
