2023: Connecting medical facilities to the Central Archive of Medical Images
RTK Radiology as part of the implementation of informatization measures healthcare of the Republic of Khakassia ensured absolute implementation regulated indicators of the region in terms of connecting medical organizations to Central Medical Image Archive (CAMI). At the time of system implementation, the organization connected more than 70 pieces of equipment, providing access to CMI in 160 out of 160 geographically allocated structural units of medical organizations (TVSP) of the republic. RTK Radiology reported this on September 28, 2023.
The successful implementation of the project included several steps:
- Ensuring guaranteed delivery of diagnostic test results from remote areas to the central archive
- Providing physician access to retrospective studies
- Ensuring prompt access to urgent research
To ensure guaranteed delivery of diagnostic results research from remote areas to the central archive of RTK Radiology installed local PACS servers in medical organizations, which allowed doctors have instant access to images regardless of the quality of the communication channel.
{{quote "Thanks to the work carried out in the region, the problem of" narrow "loaded communication channels was eliminated. Radiologists and clinicians of clinical specialties can find and retrieve any image stored locally in the facility in real time, and the local PACS transfers the research to the Center on a given schedule. The continuous diagnostic process is provided by its own viewer of the local PACSa, while there is no need for installations at the user's workplaces - commented "'Evgeny Bychkov, Deputy Director for ITGBUZ RH "RMIAC" "'.}}
In addition, the company's specialists provided the doctor with access to retrospective studies by setting up the ability to transfer patient data and results of studies with local PACS in CMI with their subsequent binding to the patient's electronic medical record.
According to Evgeny Bychkov, thanks to the installed PACS server, which at the same time serves as a local PACS archive, hospital doctors can analyze previously obtained studies, determine the dynamics and prescribing effective treatment in a timely manner.
For prompt access to urgent research, the RTK technical service Radiology set up ranking of study results by time and modality (X-rays, CT, mammography, etc.), which is positive affected the workflows of medical institutions.
Centralized storage of data with the ability to quickly access a specific image saves the time of specialists of medical organizations in favor of additional time to solve the problems of the medical and diagnostic process - said the Deputy Director for ITGBUZ RX "RIAC. |
The region does not plan to stop there - considered possibility of implementation of medical decision-making support system in medical organizations of the republic, including on the basis of artificial intelligence technology.
