According to Oleg Weinberg, the Chief information officer of retail company "Computer Center Kay", the popularity of 1C is explained by the fact that the system of the same name de facto became a basic business system in Russia.

And it is already quite possible to call version 8.2 full-fledged ERP, it multiplatform, works via the browser, therefore is not critical to OS on user side. "Joint works of a command of 1C, IBM and Oracle led to the fact that 1C probably "multidBMS" the platform which works for MSSQL, Postgree, db2, Oracle", - he added.

The director of group of MTS of IT Valery Shorzhin considers that one more reason of popularity of products of 1C - the successful relation the price - functionality-flexibility. "Products of 1C allow us to use it when implementation of "heavier" systems is economically unreasonable", - Shorzhin explained.

However, according to him, practically all listed international software suppliers managed to provide worthy presence in the local markets and to earn reputation of reliable partners. Shorzhin voted for Oracle proceeding from large volumes of their joint projects.

Chief information officers participated in poll of TAdviser along with others: Vyacheslav Shanaurov (Basel Aero), Hermann Epstein (Baltika), Dmitry Nazipov (VTB), Oleg Weinberg ("Computer Center Kay"), Igor Bakaldin ("MIEL-Nedvizhimost)", Valery Shorzhin (MTS), Igor Khokhlov ("Sheremetyevo Airport (MASh)").
