2023: Announcement of clocks measuring pulse, pressure and ECG
In Russia, a smart tonometer watch has been developed that measures heart rate, pressure and ECG. The data is immediately transmitted to the doctor. At the end of September 2023, this technology was reported in the press service of the National Technological Initiative (NTI).
The uniqueness of the project is that the device is part of the medical ecosystem that builds around the user. For example, there is a Korean watch that also performs an ECG, but its data is not analyzed and does not become part of the user's medical history, "said project leader Linar Garifullin, quoted by RIA Novosti. |
It is specified that the user can adjust the novelty to his needs through a mobile application associated with the device and measure blood pressure, ECG and pulse during the day, as well as monitor activity. The device analyzes the obtained data and, if necessary, sends push notifications to the user, and to the doctor - monitoring information for the correction of therapy.
According to NTI, the created device is planned to be introduced into a single ecosystem of remote health monitoring according to the Polyclinic at Home model. The project passed the acceleration program at the design and educational intensity "Archipelago 2023." The release of the first batch of devices is scheduled for 2024.
According to Garifullin, all data generated during monitoring will be stored in Russia with access for doctors.
We plan to receive a registration product from Roszdravnadzor for our device, thus, it will combine the medical device and the functions of the usual smart watch, "Garifullin said, adding that the main difference between a tonometer watch and a smart watch is that the latter's data cannot be used for medical purposes, so it is impossible to integrate them into the medical ecosystem.[1] |
