2023: Turbine Components Launch

Power Machines has launched the production of blades for gas turbines. The press service of the enterprise announced this on October 3, 2023.

The capacity of the new production reaches 16 sets of cast blades of gas turbines per year with the possibility of increasing to 24 sets per year. The volume will be able to satisfy the need for blades in-house production of the company, as well as provide them with the service of gas turbines, including third-party production.

The casting of the first stage rotor blade is an important stage in the creation of the GTE-65 gas turbine. This event was preceded by a lot of work on the organization of production facilities, the creation and implementation of technology. Now we continue to work out the technology, we are preparing production for the casting of larger blades for the gas turbine, GTE-170 said Alexander Konyukhov, General Director of Power Machines, in early October 2023.

Power Machines is implementing a project to resume gas turbines in Russia with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The volume of investments in the new enterprise is more than 15 billion rubles, of which 6.8 billion rubles were subsidized by the Ministry. Three sites of the Leningrad Metal Plant, which is part of the company, are involved in the project. At its facilities, it is planned to produce eight gas turbines, as well as blades for them.

According to experts, gas turbines and blades for them are products that under the current conditions will find guaranteed sales on the Russian market. Previously, the demand for these products was 100% covered by imported manufacturers, which now do not work in Russia.

Power Machines creates capacity to produce eight gas turbines a year. The company will also provide service to gas turbines, including third-party production, including the production and supply of spare parts.^[1]
