Activities in Russia
2022: Recognition as an undesirable organization
In April 2022, after the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, Chatham House was recognized in Russia as an undesirable organization in Russia.
2015: Report with recommendations on countering the expansion of Russia's influence
The most popular work for a Russian reader can be called a report entitled "Russian Challenge" in 2015. In it, the authors gave recommendations on countering the influence of Russia, calling the policy of appeasement of the Russian Federation ineffective.
Among other measures to combat the Russian Federation, the need for comprehensive support for the independence of countries and reforms in the post-Soviet space, as well as eliminating Europe's dependence on Russian gas and countering Russian propaganda, was indicated.
