A key way of working out practical skills for medical students was and remains "bedside" training. However, this method is not always possible - for example, during the period COVID-19 , physical contacts of people were limited, and the patients themselves may be against interaction with students. The use of virtual technologies will solve not only these problems, but also give students and residents the opportunity to study rare clinical cases that cannot always be demonstrated in the clinic in practical classes, - said the rector of SibGMU Evgeny Kulikov.

The virtual format allows the user to fully immerse himself in an outpatient appointment and experience the impression of real communication with the patient. Students will be able to work out such skills as - history collection, objective examination, including examination, auscultation, percussion, palpation, laboratory and instrumental studies, differential diagnosis, final diagnosis and patient treatment.

Students of SibGMU will be able to train skills on new equipment, starting from the third year, as well as residents.[1]
