Showed to the governor of Tula region the project of the Central dispatching service of area

On October 25, 2010 the governor of Tula region Vyacheslav Dudka visited a motorcade of 1135 of Tulaavtotrans LLC where he got acquainted with a pilot project of implementation of the automated navigation system of management of passenger traffic on suburban and long-distance routes of Tula region "an ACS Navigation" based on GLONASS/GPS technologies. According to the results of demonstration the decision to continue the project and to expand it with the systems of calculation of passengers, an electronic payment system and social cards is made.

In the nearest future it is going to create the Central dispatching service of Tula region intended for operating control behind work of public transport and quality of the transport services provided to the population and also security of passengers on transport.

Vyacheslav Dudka was positive for use of GLONASS for the purpose of control of public transport service. "We should know where there is any vehicle which is engaged in service of passengers as far as it is filled by people where there is enough transport and where a surplus. – he said. - We should make so that people did not feel inconveniences, using city and long-distance transport".

According to the governor, the automatic management system will be completely put by passenger transport into operation in December, 2011. Jobs will be set in Administration of Tula region and also collection of information in the Situational center of the governor will be organized.

Using the ACS Navigation system and the GLX M2M-Cyber GLONASS terminals it is going to carry out monitoring of a passenger traffic which will allow to correct the schedule of transport and to make it the most convenient for passengers. Besides, the created Central dispatching service will undertake interaction with the ATC of the region, services of rescue and medical care that will allow to react more quickly to emergencies and will increase safety of citizens when using of public transport.

Monitors based on GLONASS allow to keep track of location, speed, observance by the vehicle of the diagram and a route of the movement and also real fuel consumption. In the nearest future it is also going to install sensors of accounting of a passenger traffic that will give the chance to monitor the actual loading of suburban buses and also to adjust the schedule and the number of buses necessary for ensuring comfortable transportation of passengers.

The project is implemented by Tulaavtotrans LLC together with M2M Telematics Group and its regional partner - the Center of Satellite Monitoring of Rusbusinessk LLC. At the moment subscriber GLONASS/GPS GLX M2M-Cyber terminals equip 28 vehicles of Tulaavtotrans LLC servicing routes of the suburban message.

According to Andrey Pulin, the director of the Center of Satellite Monitoring of Rusbusinessk LLC, monitoring system implementation based on GLONASS and creation of the Central dispatching service of Tula region will allow the motor transportation enterprises and Administration of Tula region to obtain operational information by all necessary parameters of public transport service – from location and observance by drivers of the schedule before the actual loading of buses. Establishment of fuel flow sensors will allow to cut down expenses of the enterprises on fuel and lubricants. But the main thing – will improve the schedule of the movement of passenger transport and service quality of passengers on regional routes will increase.
