2023: VMSBox Solution Launch

Rostelecom on October 26, 2023 launched a comprehensive boxed solution VMSBox, which allows customers to connect their own IP cameras to a secure cloud infrastructure. Integration into the Rostelecom platform will allow centralized control of cameras through an application installed on any device, and will save investment on its own servers and equipment. Once connected, customers will also have access to all the advantages of a cloud solution, including video analytics.

VMSBox is a hardware and software complex that allows you to connect your client's own IP cameras to Rostelecom's cloud video surveillance using Plug and Play technology. Connecting to a secure cloud requires only a mini-computer with pre-installed VMS software. After launching, VMSBox will find cameras on the local network, the user will only need to select which ones to connect in his personal account. With one device, you can connect up to 16 cameras to the cloud platform. The online video stream from the connected cameras is streamed to an app that can also view archived video. All data is transmitted in encrypted form over a secure communication channel to exclude unauthorized access, and is stored on Rostelecom's own cloud platform servers. Thus, clients will not lose them even in case of problems with local equipment.

Using VMSBox, companies will also be able to solve import substitution problems: the development of Rostelecom is included in the register of domestic POMincials of the Russian Federation.
