2023: Lenta implemented business monitoring to control the RC Shipment process

Lenta and Digital Trajectory (ex Weigandt Consulting) conducted a successful pilot of the Action Track (ATC) product, which covered the process of'Shipment from RC' (RC - distribution center) as part of the business function of replenishing store shelves.

The tape began to develop the format of small stores near the house, which required a revision of the warehouse replenishment processes, since the small format requires more frequent and point replenishment. Shipping and acceptance processes have historically been built to work with hypermarkets, delays were observed at different steps, leading to downtime and a decrease in vehicle turnover, which could turn into empty shelves in supermarkets.

To perform online monitoring of shipping processes from the RC, the PBX product was integrated with the SAP ERP, SAP EWM and Oracle TM master systems. Processing events in real time, the product began to control the life cycle of each replenishment order at the pallet level, as well as the movement of vehicles between the RC and TC (shopping complex). The solution made it possible to proactively inform the IT service about unloaded documents between systems and frozen background tasks, and the picking and shipping group about delays in business operations. Online reports have been developed for the distribution group to monitor daily shipping and receiving operations, replacing excel file exchange .

As a result of the pilot operation of business monitoring of the PBX, it was possible to reduce the downtime of vehicles at the RC during the shipment process by 11.7% and reduce the average latency of the TC by 13.8%.

Automatic registration of incidents and notification of their solution made it possible to reduce the number of applications from the business by 1.5 times, and reduce the number of FTE support engineers.

As a result of the pilot operation of the PBX product, a positive economic effect was achieved, Lenta plans to scale the solution to new business processes in 2024.
