2023: Product Announcement
In October 2023, the world's first electric ultrasonic kitchen knife went on sale. This is the development of the Czech company 369Sonic.
According to Coolthings, ultrasonic cutting tools are nothing new, since they are often used in production to neatly cut rubber, plastic, carpets, carbon fiber panels, etc. In 369Sonic, they were the first to implement this technology in a kitchen knife, which can quickly and accurately cut vegetables, meat, etc.
According to the developers, the intonation blade vibrates 50,000 per second, due to which nothing will ever stick to the blade - the knife kind of "shakes off" the product. The manufacturer claims that fast vibrations help the device perform 36 times sharper cutting compared to a regular kitchen knife. Thanks to ultrasound, the knife blade can cut anything. So, tender desserts and cakes will not fall apart, and tomatoes will not come together. True, the blade heats up a lot during the operation of the knife, so you need to be careful not to get skin damage.
The device is 369Sonic equipped with a battery that powers the control board and ultrasonic transducer. Due to the electronics inside, the handle heats up, so the developers have provided a heat-resistant cover on it, which also makes it easier to grip.
With interchangeable blades, you can easily change the size and type of your knife. In addition, thanks to them, the process of caring for a knife is simplified. Just unscrew the blade and rinse it under running water, says the startup's website. |
By October 27, 2023, you can order a 369Sonic knife at a price of $348. The kit includes a wireless charging dock and blade case, allowing it to be stored separately on the kitchen counter upright when not in use. One knife charge will last for 50 minutes of work.[1]
