2023: Hospital Reconstruction
In mid-October 2023, it became known that the Ministry of Health of the Rostov Region was implementing a project for the complete reconstruction of the city emergency hospital (BSMP) in Taganrog. The cost of work is estimated at 32 million rubles.
A technical and price audit of the current state of the buildings of the medical institution was carried out at the end of 2022. Given the pre-accident condition of the facilities, the builders did not recommend major repairs. Instead, a complete reconstruction of the complex is being carried out. As part of the project, a new medical building with a hospital with 811 beds, an ambulance department with 66 beds and an infectious diseases department with 80 beds will appear on the territory of the BSMP. A number of existing buildings will be rebuilt.
In accordance with the contractual obligations, in 2022, a technological and price audit of the justification of investments for the reconstruction of the buildings of the State Emergency Service of Taganrog was carried out. Its cost amounted to just over 32 million rubles. Due to the fact that the hospital will continue to function during the reconstruction period, three stages of construction are envisaged, the Ministry of Health of the Rostov Region said in a statement. |
The existing BSMP buildings were built in 1975 according to a standard design. As of 2023, they do not meet area standards and have pronounced physical wear. In March 2023, an application for the reconstruction of the BSMP was submitted for inclusion in the federal targeted investment program for 2023-2027. As a result, the Ministry of Health supported the initiative.
In May 2023, the Governor of the Rostovskaya Region Vasily Golubev announced that the reconstruction of the BSMP implies the construction of a new building. Then he pointed to the poor condition of the medical institution and insisted that "there are problems that need to be resolved." They intend to build the facility in several stages so that the hospital continues to function.[1]
