2023: Introduction of an autonomous mobile neural network surveillance complex
The Ufa administration and the Rostelecom project office in Bashkortostan have introduced the Autonomous Mobile Neural Network Surveillance Complex into the city administration.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology will allow maintaining a high level of improvement of the urban environment by automatically fixing violations. The system monitors the condition of roads and the quality of their cleaning in winter and summer, and also evaluates the order in the territories adjacent to the roads.
The autonomous AI complex developed and manufactured by the Russian IT the company Softlogic has a certificate of approval of the type of measuring instruments. This means that with its help, prescriptions can be made for the detected violations penalties in a simplified manner.
The mayor of the city, Ratmir Mavliev, praised the potential for practical application of AI and the results of pilot testing, which was carried out since May 2023. In June, the complex for monitoring road infrastructure facilities was presented to the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. "Ufa sets development trends for other municipalities of Bashkortostan," said the head of the region.
The use of artificial intelligence accelerates by 20 times the work of inspectors responsible for monitoring the maintenance of roads and urban areas. AI helps to quickly find potential shortcomings and report them to city services, and the final decision always remains with the person. The prompt response to violations and the best maintenance of the cleanliness of the city is immediately noticed by residents: the number of appeals and complaints is noticeably reduced.
