2023: Digma Pro Top P6
On November 2, 2023, the DIGMA brand announced the release of the Digma Pro Top P6 SSDs. The series features four models with capacities of 1 and 2 TB. They are based on the Taiwanese Phison PS5026-E26 controller with a PCIe 5.0 x4 data interface.
According to the brand, the Phison PS5026-E26 is manufactured using a 12nm process technology at TSMC, and it is based on two ARM Cortex-R5 cores and three proprietary CoXProcessor 2.0 cores. The chipset supports the NVMe 2.0 protocol and is equipped with a PCIe 5.0 bus. Its feature is its doubled bandwidth compared to its predecessor, PCIe 4.0. Thus, PCIe 5.0 x4 can transmit data at speeds above 15,000 MB/s. In addition to the advanced controller, the drives have Micron B58R flash memory with 232 layers of TLC 3D NAND.
The older SSD with a capacity of 2 TB has a read speed of 12,000 MB/s, and writes - 11,000 MB/s, and the younger - 10,000 MB/s and 10,000 MB/s, respectively. 1TB Solid-State Drives are also optimal. The older model has 11,500 MB/s and 9500 MB/s for reading and writing, the younger model has 10,000 MB/s and 8500 MB/s, respectively. 1TB devices have 2GB cache and 2TB drives have 4GB cache.
The cache further optimizes the operation of DIGMA PRO Top P6, especially in mixed read and write operations and in operations with a large number of small blocks. Depending on the size of the SSD, the rewriting volume is 700 and 1400 TB, respectively. The uptime of the devices reaches 2 million hours, that is, more than 220 years.
All four SSDs come in M.2 2280 format. They are compatible with PCs and laptops with PCIe 5.0 x4 SSD support. SSDs require additional active cooling. The local device warranty lasts for five years.
