2024: Equipment of the road bypass Kemerovo automatic weight and dimensional control system
The Service-Telematics company (part of the Telematics concern) has equipped the route bypassing Kemerovo with an automatic weight and size control system (ASVGK). The IT solution is the concern's own development, which allows in real time to identify cars in the stream that violate weight and dimensional parameters. The use of an intelligent solution will help increase the level of road safety and increase the life of the route. Telematics announced this on November 25, 2024.
Traffic along the North-Western bypass of Kemerovo was launched on October 29, 2024. The road connected the Sibir R-255 route from west to east, allowing drivers to bypass the city. Its length is 47.6 km, it passes through the Kemerovo and Topkinsky municipal districts.
On the bypass of Kemerovo, 3 automatic weight and size control points were installed, equipped with sensors, sensors and video cameras, as well as special sensors for weighing vehicles mounted in the roadway. With the help of artificial intelligence technologies, the system determines its various parameters in the direction of traffic: speed, total weight of the car, weight of each axle, number of wheels on the axle and dimensions. Each point is equipped with two variable information boards to promptly inform drivers about the traffic situation.
The North-Western bypass of the city of Kemerovo is an important infrastructure project for the entire Kuzbass. The launch of this route will have a positive effect on the transport infrastructure of the city: it will redirect transit flows, reduce congestion on the roads of Kemerovo and improve the environmental situation in the city. The introduction of domestic technological solutions, in particular a system for monitoring weight and size indicators, will contribute to an increase in the level of safety on the new highway, and will also help extend the service life of the road surface, - commented Alexander Protopopov, director of the GKU "Directorate of Roads of Kuzbass." |
The weight and size control system is a domestic solution that has already proven its effectiveness in different regions of the country. It ensures safety on the roads by controlling the movement of freight transport. Sensors accurately measure the weight and dimensions of cars, and when violations are detected, the system automatically captures data and transmits information about the offender. Thanks to this, it is possible to extend the service life of road surfaces, reduce the formation of rut and reduce the risk of accidents associated with overloaded vehicles, - said Denis Durnov, General Director of Service-Telematics. |
2023: Delivery Plan for the Digital Weight Measuring Module as Part of Weight and Dimension Control Stations
On the highway, bypassing Kemerovo, overloaded vehicles are recognized using a digital weight measuring module as part of weight and size control points. This domestic solution for the development of the Telematics concern will be delivered by Service-Telematics (part of the Telematics concern) by the end of 2023. The complex of weight and dimensional control will increase the service life of the roadway and increase safety on the new highway for all road users. The concern announced this on November 2, 2023.
The length of the bypass of Kemerovo will be 47 kilometers. The track will be four-lane, with a permitted travel speed of up to 110 km/h. Throughout it, 3 automatic points of weight and dimensional control will be installed. Each of them will place 2 variable information boards to promptly inform drivers about the traffic situation.
The automatic weight and dimensional control system (ASVGK) will record freight vehicles moving with violation of weight and/or dimensional parameters in automatic non-stop mode without reducing speed. The installation of such complexes will increase the operational life of the new route.
The launch of traffic on the North-Western bypass of the city of Kemerovo is planned in the fall of 2024. This is one of the significant projects for the infrastructure of the region, which is included in the program of socio-economic development of Kuzbass until 2024 and is being conducted under the control of the Governor of the Kemerovo Region Sergei Tsivilev. The new route will unload the roads of the capital of Kuzbass from transit transport, improve the environmental situation and transport accessibility by reducing traffic jams in different parts of the city, - said Alexander Petrovich Protopopov, director of the State Institution "Directorate of Roads of Kuzbass." |
Complexes of weight and size control will increase the level of safety of the road network both in the capital of Kuzbass and extend the life of the road due to high-quality control over weight and size standards. It is known that every third car moves with overload and endangers not only itself, but also other road users, so the use of such digital solutions in the field of weight and size control on tracks with a large flow of heavy trucks is the basis for road safety, - commented Denis Durnov, General Director of Service-Telematics. |
