Announced "Open Technologies" in November, 2010 project completion on creation of technical infrastructure for X5 Retail Group N. V., managing director of Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Karusel networks.

For implementation of the integrated automated control system of SAP and systems accompanying it, X5 Retail Group was necessary modern hardware-software infrastructure.

Technical infrastructure is one of key IT tools on ensuring continuity of business processes of the enterprise and main objectives of its creation are:

  • providing with required resources information systems, critical for business of the customer;
  • ensuring the set parameters of functioning of information systems;
  • decrease in probability of interruption of business enterprise management processes;
  • increase in safety of data, critical for business;
  • improvement of service quality of end users.

For X5 Retail Group temporary infrastructure for pilot implementation and, according to the results of testing of the selected hardware solutions on its basis was created, the customer company made the decision on deployment of target infrastructure of the enterprise.

Specialists of the company Open technologies executed the following range of works: design of technical infrastructure, supply of equipment, commissioning regarding the network and server hardware and also preparation of all executive documentation on the equipment.

During the project on creation of IT infrastructure the following equipment was supplied:

  • database servers and the central instance of SAP - IBM Power 595;
  • application servers – IBM JS43 blade servers, set in a blade chassis of IBM Blade Center H;
  • server of backup of IBM Power 570;
  • main systems of data storage of HDS USP V;
  • auxiliary storage systems of HDS AMS2500;
  • tape library IBM TS3500;
  • network equipment of Cisco;
  • Brocade storage system.
