In October 2023, Russia and India entered into an agreement on the joint development of medical equipment. The corresponding memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the Association of Indian Medical Device Enterprises (AiMeD) and the Center for the Development of Strategic Partnership of Russia and India (DRISP).

According to the press service of DRISP, the agreement is aimed at promoting the development of business relations, stimulating bilateral trade, investments in both countries, as well as the development and exchange of technologies for the development of the medical device industry. AiMeD and DRISP have agreed to exchange information on economic and commercial issues, i.e. trade, investment and technology transfer opportunities, and to cooperate in supporting workshops, courses, conferences and trade fairs organized in both countries on industries and topics of mutual interest.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by DRISP and AiMeD takes on special significance as the leaders of India and Russia, guided by common interests and the desire to further deepen bilateral cooperation, outlined the goal of reaching the $30 billion mark in mutual trade by 2025, thereby continuing dynamic and multifaceted economic interaction. And our organizations will contribute modestly to this goal, "said AiMeD forum coordinator Rajiv Nath.
